Abel Magwitch, is a Great Expectations book who escapes from prison at the beginning of the story and terrorizes Pip in the cemetery. However, with Charles Dickens it is the former case and readers have expectations. I do. Whenever I start reading a Dickens novel, I expect it to be long 3/5.
